Red and White Sangria



Nothing says hot summer night and fun like Sangria. Red and or white,  the most versatile, inexpensive and delicious "cocktails" for your summer party entertainment. Warm weather fun, easy to make and beautiful. Here are some samples I "cooked up".... Salute! and happy summer to all of my readers!

Red Sangria

1 bottle  full bodied red wine
2 -3 Tbs. honey
1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
2 navel orange, 1, sliced and quartered and 1 juiced
2 lemons, sliced and quartered
2 limes, sliced and quartered


Pour the wine into an attractive pitcher or carafe or large jar . Add the fresh squeezed orange juice, and stir in the honey.

 Prepare the fruit and add to the wine mixture. Let steep in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Serve chilled in wine glasses.

White Sangria

1 Bottle White Wine
2 cup white grape juice
2 nectarines, sliced into 12-16 wedges
1 cup green grapes, cut in half
2  ripe apricots, sliced into wedges
2 ripe black plums sliced into wedges


 Pour the wine into an attractive pitcher. Add the white grape juice. Prepare the fruit and add to the wine mixture. Let steep in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight. Serve chilled in wine goblets.
